Maker Faire Orlando

Date: November 10 and 11, 2018

Time: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM (both days)

The IEEE Orlando Section will be having an exhibit table at the upcoming Maker Faire Orlando on Saturday, November 10th and Sunday, November 11th, from 10am to 5pm both days. We will have 2 shifts per day (9:30am to 1:30pm and 1:30pm to 5:30pm) and we are looking for volunteers to help man the booth, bring some electronic boards/equipment, talk about IEEE membership, and just participate in the activities. If you are interested in helping out please send an email to w.macchi.us@ieee.org with your availability/preferences for the shift(s) or how you are able to help. Shift volunteers get exhibitor passes to the Maker Faire.

Soldering Workshop

Location: TI Innovation Lab in ENG building

Join us on October 17 in the TI Innovation Lab in the ENG building, we will be soldering an LED circuit!

IEEE Orlando Section Annual Awards Banquet

Date: Saturday, October 20, 2018

Time: 6 – 9 PM

Location: The Citrus Club, 255 S Orange Av #1800, Orlando, Florida

Topic: “Future Developments in Avionics and Software”.

Guest Speaker: Our AES Related Technical Guest Speaker will be James Beahn from the Kennedy Space Center

Parking: The parking garage cost will be covered by the IEEE Orlando Section. Please bring the parking garage ticket to be validated at the Citrus Club.

Cost: It is a completely free event

Intro to Circuit Theory (Part 3)

We will be hosting our third Intro to Circuit Theory workshop on Tuesday, October 16th at 7:30PM in ENG2 205. We will be going over diodes which will be a good introduction to our Soldering Workshop on Wednesday, October 17th at 7:00PM in TI lab in the ENG2 atrium.
